This is the Booking Control Centre and the window that opens when you start the application. It always opens at the current date minus two days as it's useful to see whats gone on previously sometimes. You'll be able to see At-A-Glance what availability you have for the current week and can navigate very easily to different dates in a variety of ways.

Booking Details

The Booking Details window is accessed by double clicking an existing booking. This holds lots of information and is the screen you need when making note of a payment or adding a newspaper (or any other Extra) to a certain room and printing an invoice, amongst other things.

Confirmation Email

This screen can be found in Settings. It's a really neat feature of Hotel Reception Desk. Basically, once configured to your requirements, you'll be able to click a button and it will boot up your email programme and place a confirmation text in memory. You'd then go to the body of the email and paste the information. And there you have it, a confirmation email to your guest in seconds!! It's saved me hours this feature. We've not seen it in any other hotel reception software.

Guest & Telephone Book

The Guest & Telephone book is self explanatory. It's a database of your guests details. Worthy of note here is that you can add your hotel suppliers details also to save you hunting around for the telephone book! So...you use a maintenance man - enter his details here. It is fully searchable by surname.

From this screen you'll be able to print a wide variety of reports including Sales by room, sales by month, newspaper order, housekeeping information and an occupancy report.

In the Settings window this is where you'll configure Hotel Reception Desk to suit your business. Lots of leg work required to tell the application about all aspects of the business but once it's done you'll generally be able to leave this section alone.
